Full-Time (40 hrs/per week) Reports to:
Manager of Strategic Priorities Supervises:
(NONE) Department:
Development & Alumni Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruit volunteers from Cumberlands' Alumni and the region and train them to raise money for Give Day.
Maintain updated volunteer information in database.
Coordinate letters, emails, social media posts, and phone calls to recruit volunteers and communicate with existing volunteers.
Arrange and conduct volunteer training sessions and materials.
Make regular phone calls to active volunteers with the purpose of thanking them for their participation/gift.
Support student-alumni engagement with fundraising and philanthropy efforts.
Assist with strategy, development, and implementation of student engagement and giving programming and initiatives.
Research trends and best practices of student, alumni, and community engagement programs while also benchmarking with other universities, colleges, and non-profits.
Assist in annual campus events such as Give Day, Homecoming, etc.
Qualifications Ideal candidate will have experience in written and verbal communication, training leadership, recruitment, and community outreach.
Must have excellent organization, time management, and team management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team and to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and other programs that apply.
Strong video, email, phone and social media skills.
Confident presenter.
Able to multi-task and is self-motivated.
