The Assistant Sports Information Director will report to the Assistant Athletic Director - Sports Information.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing and executing creative content strategies to promote the Cumberlands athletic department Work with the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information to enhance the overall department's brand image The Director of Creative Communication will work members of the Sports Information staff to develop and implement social media initiatives, using visual storytelling to enhance the Cumberlands Athletic brand.
Assist in overseeing the daily operation of the Sports Information department Assist with the creation of content and organization of videoboards throughout Patriots athletic facilities Will serve as the main contact for sports as assigned Delegation of responsibilities to student assistants and Work-Study Prepare and disseminate information on assigned teams and student-athletes in each sport and send to all appropriate media outlets Promote and work for national recognition of deserving athletes and teams Assignment of coverage for news events with articles and photos Oversee reporting of statistics to the conference and national levels by deadlines Job RequirementsBachelor's degree required.
Must have integrity and leadership skills, strong organizational and communication skills, be attentive to details, have the ability to lead and work independently as well as within a team environment, maintain confidentiality, show initiative, handle frequent interruptions and manage multiple projects while keeping an organized workflow.
Must be able to work effectively in a diverse work environment, collaborate with colleagues and mentor and lead student athletes.
Must have a working knowledge of statistical software (Dakstats or StatCrew).
Knowledge of Adobe Office and video experience preferred.
